The Smokey is an old ship, out-dated by current galactic standards. A relic produced by a failed shipbuilding company during the Galactic Civil War, this particular transport once served as the home for a Rebel Alliance operative known as Hagen. The Smokey has seen action in hundreds of engagements and visited thousands of worlds, and her scarred, patched, and pock-marked exterior shows it.

The Smokey has been upgraded over the years, boasting a military-grade hyperdrive and an efficient back-up system. Rumor is that Hagen demanded the fastest back-up hyperdrive the ship could carry after one particularly harrowing 14-month mission for the Alliance. Smokey’s shields have also been improved beyond original specifications, increasing shield protection by 50%. An enterprising and skilled mechanic could likely improve the hyperdrive and shields even further, and there’s ample room for additional modifications to suit her crew.

It is apparent to anyone who travels in the freighter that the Smokey is behind in her maintenance schedule and in desperate need of updates. Many of the pipes running through the ship drip coolant, lubricants, or other engine fluids. The deckplates and doors are covered in carbon-scoring and grime. The interior decor would be considered fashionable during the pre-Clone Wars Republic. Most of the medical supplies and food stores are Rebellion Era war surplus. To top it off the air seems to have a constant scent of stale cigara in it. Proper maintenance and replacement parts to correct all these issues and bring the Smokey’s systems up to galactic standards will run the new owner 20,000 credits, but will greatly improve response time and comfort aboard the ship.
